How to Properly Brush & Floss

Daily homecare basics that protect your teeth between visits.

Brush at least twice a day with a soft-bristled toothbrush and fluoride toothpaste, holding the brush at a 45° angle to the gumline and using short, gentle strokes.

Floss once a day, easing the floss between teeth and curving it into a C-shape against each tooth to clean below the gumline.

Replace your toothbrush every three to four months, or sooner if the bristles are frayed.
